Also, I promise this will make everyone who walks in your door smile, because... pom poms.
Yes, pom poms.
Today I'm going to show you one of my favorite new pieces of flair in my living room: DIY Pom Pom Branches. Check out the video below to see what materials you'll need, and seriously, just how easy this is to do.
I think one of my favorite things about this project is it is sooo easy to personalize. The bright pink and orange poms immediately reminded me of a little girl's room, and the muted tones fit perfectly with our currently living room design. But you can really take this anywhere.
For Halloween, maybe add in a few bats or cobwebs. And when winter hits, all white and cream poms for snow.
These also look great in unique holders, like the glass beakers I used.
DIY Pop of Play Pom Pom Branches
What You'll Need:
- Hot Glue Gun
- Hot Glue Sticks
- Small branches (from your own yard, or ask a neighbor nicely!)
- Craft pom poms in a few sizes
What To Do:
- Warning: glue and poms can lead to fuzz balls stuck to your table, so I recommend putting something down first like newspaper or parchment paper.
- Make sure your branches are about the same size. A little variety is good to give your arrangement some depth, but before you start pommin' away, you'll want to trim them to a good size for your vase.
- Use your glue gun to attach poms to the branch and other poms, creating small bunches. Go crazy! Do whatever feels right! Use 30 poms or just five. Totally up to you here.
- I stuck my branches into the vase immediately since the hot glue dried so quickly.
- Place the vase in a spot you see everyday. It is sure to put a smile on your face.
