Meet Meredith

Hi there!

Here's the thing. No one likes to write "About Me" pages, myself included. Blathering on and on in the third person about all of your own brilliant attributes can feel really creepy. So instead, here is a list of ten things you should know about ME.

1 I’m the youngest of my siblings and the only girl. Thus I’m a bit scrappy and not afraid to jump in head-first. I also realized I wasn’t a boy at about age 12 and got super girlie. Oh, and I can throw a mean spiral.

2 I’m a teacher at heart. I have a Master’s degree in Education and owe most of my TV presenting skills to my first live audiences… all under the age of 12.

3 Number 1 on this list prepared me for having two boys of my own. They are my life’s best work. And I’ve taught them both how to throw a meaner spiral.

4 I became a blogger back in 2005 to find my writing voice and to have a creative outlet while staying home when my boys were little, never knowing it would be the catalyst to a complete career change.

5 After a few months my little blog was picked up by Chicago Parent Magazine. I started writing a monthly column and doing television segments on their behalf, became a leader in the vlogging field and launched TheMeredithSinclar.com.

6 I now do campaigns with brands I love, speak at social media conferences, and spend my days vlogging, writing and producing regular family focused segments for Chicago shows, as well as The Today Show.

7 My two primary “niches” are play-full living and modern mom beauty and style.

8 I chose my 6’7 husband in high school mainly because he was the tallest boy in school, and I have a “thing” for circus-tall men. Thankfully he’s also an incredible person who appreciates a girlie girl like me.

9 I don’t do “favorites” but if I did, I love Champagne, tall trees, witty banter, girlfriends, the lake, fake eyelashes, smart writing, autumn, imperfection, yellow, bathtime, boy hugs, Nashville, bare feet, football, down pillows, and the adrenaline of LIVE TV.

10 I love what I do.
